Tolsa SA, based in Madrid, a global supplier of specialized additives for the paints and coatings industry, will showcase its industry-leading portfolio of rheological additives based on high-purity sepiolite technology at the European Coatings Show (ECS) (Hall 5, Stand 350) March 28-30 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Tolsa has developed a broad range of products and emerged as a formidable supplier to the paints and coatings market. The company has produced unique additives for water-based and solvent-based systems.
Delivering Innovative Product Solutions
Tolsa has experienced strong growth over the last several years and its long-term strategy is to expand its resources and capabilities with new investment in technology, manufacturing, capital, and personnel.
“
We are leveraging our extensive experience in paints and coatings to deliver the most innovative product solutions,” said Dr. Antonio Esteban, chief research & technological innovation officer. “
We will be at ECS to spotlight our highly robust product capabilities.”
At the ECS show, Tolsa will highlight the
Pangel® and Cimsil® series of rheological additives for water- and solvent-based paints and coatings and construction materials additives. The product range is based on a wide variety of special clays, including sepiolite, attapulgite, montmorillonite, and saponite with each sharing the capabilities of easy build up, shear thinning, and thixotropic gel structures.
In water-borne systems, Pangel® S Series rheological additives, which are produced from high-purity sepiolite, deliver outstanding suspension and anti-sagging capacity unaffected by electrolytes. The company also offers Pangel® W Series additives which provide anti-sagging properties, water retention, and excellent brushability.
Meanwhile, the Pangel® M series incorporates sodium bentonite which adds stability and viscosity control with extremely fast dispersion capacity under high solid systems and low shear systems.
Organoclay Additives Based-on High-purity Sepiolite Technology
For solvent-borne systems, Pangel® B Series
rheological organoclay additives are based on high-purity sepiolite with extra performance and additional suspension capacity, anti-sagging, and homogenizing properties. Tolsa has a complete range that is capable of working with different polarities and could also be used in high solids solutions.
Pangel® OM Series rheological organoclay additives are based on high-purity bentonite for easy incorporation. Lastly, Pangel® OMD Series self-activated organoclay additives incorporate high-purity bentonite also for easy incorporation. Pangel® products fulfill the whole range to work on all type of polarities.
Tolsa’s Cimsil series is a leading construction additive for mortars, cement, and gypsum-based products. Cimsil A55G is a chloride-free thixotropic additive specifically developed to act as an anti-sagging/anti-slipping agent in dry mix compositions. It improves workability and visual finish in the systems to which it is incorporated.
Cimsil A55 G is a low-dust additive designed to provide high-efficiency suspension properties with thixotropic characteristics developed to be used in water-based compositions where electrolytes are present.
