Sun Chemical Expands its Range of Sunsperse® ECO Pigment Dispersions

Published on 2013-03-26. Author : SpecialChem

NUREMBERG, GERMANY -- Sun Chemical Performance Pigments expanded its range of Sunsperse® ECO aqueous pigment dispersions for waterborne emulsion architectural paints with three new iron oxide pigments.

Added to the product line are two durable red and one yellow iron oxide pigments, which provide more popular pastel shades for the deco market at a cost-effective price. The now twelve-color range developed for the in-plant production of ready mixed colors, are APEO-free, VOC-free and resin-free, and comply with the European regulation on the limitation of volatile organic compounds (Directive 2004/42/EC).

Sunsperse® ECO aqueous dispersions offer high color strength, excellent light and weather fastness, broad compatibility with waterborne systems, outstanding stability to sedimentation and drying out, good wet-rub resistance and viscosity, and narrow specifications. The full line of colors covers 90 percent of all in-plant usage, and will be expanded according to customer needs.

"There is a strong trend to provide more eco-friendly architectural paints throughout the world, especially in Europe where the regulations require solvents to be removed from the paint," said Jørn Thorsson, Product Manager, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. "Sunsperse® ECO provide an answer to the eco-friendly trend in the industry, but not only that, they also meet Sun Chemical's strict standards of providing our customers with products that meet and exceed today's high expectations of quality, performance and consistency."
