Hot Hues ™ Hot Efx™ Crystallized™ Makes a Break into Custom Finishing

Published on 2005-08-02. Author : SpecialChem

WILMINGTON, Del. -- DuPont introduces Hot Hues™ Hot Efx ™ Crystallized™ HHM-6399™, a product that creates unique crystal patterns on any basecoat finish. This product forms an intricate crystallized mask of various size fissures that result in a truly one-of-a-kind finish.

"We continue to expand the Hot Hues™ custom finish product line with special effects products that complement and enhance our color offering," said Dennis Silva, custom finish segment manager. "This is the first of several new special effects products that will be added to the Hot Hues™ offering."

Hot Efx™ Crystallized™ is a colorless, non-toxic liquid mask that separates two layers of contrasting basecoat color or effect finishes. The product may be sprayed or poured over a cleared and sanded surface, then let dry. Follow with a mist-coat of a contrasting Hot Colors Basecoat, Hot Efx™ Pearl, or Hot Candy Colors dye concentrate to create your own color effect. The mask is rinsed away to reveal the crystallized pattern. The styling combinations are as endless and unique as your imagination.

Airbrush graphics, panels or overall projects can be enhanced with this paint application. It's simple enough for any novice graphic artist, yet brings another dimension of custom finishing for the most experienced painter.
