MONTVALE, NJ -- A color collaboration that's been underway the past three years between Benjamin Moore Paints and Kravet fabrics has just taken an exciting turn. Renowned designer Barclay Butera, who recently released an exclusive line of fabric and rug collections with Kravet, also has selected from Benjamin Moore a 40-color palette of paints that will exquisitely complement these newly introduced creations.

Butera's paint color suggestions are drawn from among Benjamin Moore's offering of 3,300 color options and organized into four groups-Beach, City, Mountain and Town & Country-reflecting his debut line at Kravet Collections.

"Color is absolutely integral to the portfolio of textiles and flooring I've designed with Kravet," said Butera. "I feel fortunate to be able to work with Kravet's color ally and resource Benjamin Moore, since it's indisputably the gold standard of paint. By recommending the optimum paint color choices to partner with the collections, we're three prestige brands offering added value and service to specifiers and their clients and helping to ensure color integrity on a project."

Butera's design practice over the past 15 years has included interiors for a who's who of clients. He splits his time between Los Angeles and New York as well as Newport Beach, CA, and Park City, UT, and is a passionate world traveler whose experiences and own lifestyle inform much of his work. His environments strike a balance between glamour and livability, yet resonate with respect for tradition while incorporating a signature au courant spin.

Butera defines his Kravet Beach designs by the color palette with a mingling of bright whites, sand neutrals and varying shades of blue. The Benjamin Moore paint colors he suggests for this group are: Gray Mist 962; Harbor Fog 2062-70; Blue Toile 748; Old Glory 811; Denim Wash 838; Santa Monica Blue 776; Newburyport Blue HC-155; Tidal Wave 2061-50; Sapphireberry 2063-60; and, White Opulence OC-69.

His City series features sophisticated animal skin patterns, distinctive textures and dark/light contrasts that can help keep spatial issues in check. The 10 paint hues he proposes that complement this range are: Deep Space 2125-20; Sabre Gray 1482; Amherst Gray HC-167; Woven Jacquard 254; Indian River 985; Revere Pewter HC-172; Chelsea Gray HC-168; Brown Horse 2108-30; Fairway Oaks 1074; and, Muskoka Trail 974.

Mountain is a collection that channels the natural grain of wood and leather, and Butera's color recommendations include: Hodley Red HC-65; Burnt Russet 042; Barrel Brown 2098-10; Sharkskin 2139-30; Wildwood Crest 1538; Cheyenne Green 1502; Free Spirit 245; Sag Harbor Gray HC-95; Wheeling Neutral HC-92; and, Great Plains Gold 1077.

The Benjamin Moore paint colors Butera cites as reminiscent of his Town & Country fabrics are cool hues of sky blue and pale green with rich tonal accents of silver and gold. The palette suggestions are: Grizzly Bear Brown 2111-20; Crisp Khaki 234; Raindance 1572; Rushing River 1574; Rhine River 689; Bridgewater Tan 1096; Flowering Herbs 514; Timid White OC-39; Brandon Beige 977; and, Buckhorn 987.
