Products on Display will include:

  • SPECTRACRON® solvent-based and AQUACRON® ultra-low-VOC (volatile organic compound) water-based primers and topcoats, available in acrylic, alkyd, epoxy and urethane formulations
  • POWERCRON® electrocoats (e-coats), the industry’s most commonly used e-coat products, which provide exceptional protection against corrosion and ultraviolet (UV) exposure for specialty frames and chassis-related components
  • ENVIROCRON® powder coatings, which combine corrosion- and weather-resistant qualities with environmental sustainability in hard, durable, cost-effective coatings
  • Pretreatment products such as surface cleaners and zinc-rich and zirconium-based primers that integrate with PPG liquid, e-coat and powder products to resist corrosion and extend the service life of trucks, trailers and shipping containers.

Thomas McAfee, PPG national account manager, transportation, said PPG will emphasize its ability to deliver integrated asset-protection solutions to shippers, carriers and logistics companies, as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

“In addition to our long history of supplying coil coatings for trailer sidewall applications, PPG can uniquely provide colorful, corrosion-resistant coatings that protect almost every surface of a truck, trailer or shipping container,” he explained. “We also have the ability to service and supply coating lines for OEMs and tier suppliers around the world through a global network of manufacturing plants, research and development labs, and customer support centers.”

The Intermodal EXPO, sponsored annually by the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA), showcases the industry’s latest products and services and addresses the industry’s toughest issues and challenges. Attendees include professionals from ocean carriers, motor carriers and drayage companies; railroads; equipment manufacturers and leasing companies; technology vendors; beneficial cargo owners (BCOs); and shippers.
