Published on 2007-01-10. Author : SpecialChem

Effective 31 March 2007, Silberline will globally increase the price of all aluminum pigments by the equivalent of USD $0.20 per pound (€0.35 per kilogram). This increase is necessitated by significant increases in the costs of key raw material and energy components of these products.

Silberline is a privately-owned special effect pigment producer, created in 1945 by the late Ernest Scheller, Sr. The company has four manufacturing plants in the USA, and one each in Scotland (UK) and Singapore, as well as sales and distribution centers in Brazil and Mexico. Known as one of the world's leading suppliers of high quality special effect and performance pigments, Silberline has specialized predominantly in a wide variety of unique aluminum and vacuum metallized pigments for coatings, paints, inks, plastics and textiles.
