Sartomer Appoints Alan Pape to Business Development Manager

EXTON, Pa. -- Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has appointed Alan Pape as business development manager. Pape is responsible for developing new business and markets for the specialty polymers division at Sartomer. He reports directly to Bill Wittig, business manager of Sartomer’s specialty polymers division. Applications for Sartomer specialty polymer products include one-part moisture curable and reactive hot-melt adhesives and sealants, tie layers between non-polar surfaces (such as rubbers and polar substrates, such as polyurethanes), and as modifiers for other polymer systems.

Pape has been with Sartomer for eight years, and previously held the positions of technical sales representative and product champion. He was named Sartomer’s Salesperson of the Year in 2001.

Pape holds a bachelors of science degree in chemistry from Moravian College (Bethlehem, Pa.) and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island (Kingston, R.I.).

Headquartered in Exton, Pa., Sartomer provides a variety of specialty chemicals designed to enhance processing and performance characteristics in coatings, inks, elastomers, adhesives, sealants, composites, and other demanding applications. The company's product offering includes more than 620 monomers and oligomers, photoinitiators, polybutadiene resins, styrene maleic anhydride resins, hydrocarbon resins, and other specialty chemicals.
