MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- Raymor Industries Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RAR - News), a leading developer and producer of single-walled carbon nanotubes, nanomaterials and advanced materials, announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, AP&C Advanced Powders and Coatings has received an order from the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), for the purchase of spherical titanium powders for a defence-related application.

The Canadian Department of National Defence has an annual budget of $300 million and employs 1500 people for the development of new defence-related applications in order to ensure that the Canadian Forces remains scientifically and operationally relevant. DND actively collaborates with industry, international allies, academia, other governmental departments and the national security community.

"Adding DND to our list of customers provides Raymor with an opportunity to demonstrate the viability of our unique, spherical titanium powders in the defence sector," said Stephane Robert, President of Raymor Industries. "Our other products, including our single-walled carbon nanotubes, thermal spray coatings, and net-shape forming will also be greatly appreciated by the defence sector," adds Mr. Robert.

AP&C's metallic powders are produced using the patented Plasma Atomization Process. This globally unique process produces a highly pure metallic powder with an exceptional sphericity. These two properties allow AP&C's metallic powders to offer the best performance for aerospace, aeronautical, and biomedical applications. The patented Plasma Atomization Process, of which AP&C holds an exclusive, worldwide license, was developed at the beginning of the 90's at Hydro-Quebec's Shawinigan laboratory in collaboration with Noranda.

For reasons of confidentiality, contract terms were not disclosed.
