Price Change for Coatings Resins

Published on 2004-12-03. Author : SpecialChem

Cook Composites and Polymers will increase prices in the United States and Canada for CCP resins sold to coatings markets, effective December 13, 2004.

Scheduled price changes are as follows:

  • Alkyd, polyester, dispersion, and emulsion products--$0.05 per pound
  • Acrylic solution resins and acrylic additives--$0.10 per pound

According to Dan Kile, Vice President of Polymers for CCP, the increases are driven by continual and significant increases in the cost of raw materials used in manufacturing these products.

"Market instability and record high prices for key raw materials are affecting everyone in our business," commented Mr. Kile. "CCP remains committed to doing all we can to offset these costs. We will continue to provide the best in products and services to our customers."
