Nouryon, a specialty chemicals provider, announces that it has completed a production capacity expansion of nearly 50% for its Levasil® colloidal silica products at its manufacturing facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin, US.
Expanding Regional & Global Colloidal Silica Footprint
The increase addresses rising demand for colloidal silica, particularly in North America and strategically expands Nouryon’s global colloidal silica manufacturing footprint to serve both regional and global customers.

Nouryon’s Levasil® colloidal silica, derived from two natural ingredients – sand and water – exhibit exceptional versatility and serve a variety of end-markets. They are used as a ‘high-tech’ abrasive in electronics applications for shaping, smoothing and polishing silicon, metals, sapphire and other precision substrate materials.
As a producer of high-performance silica, Nouryon operates eight Levasil® production facilities worldwide. This expansion marks another milestone in Nouryon’s commitment to meeting market demand and supporting customer growth.
