CLEVELAND -- The Lubrizol Corporation will present several of its advanced performance coatings solutions in booth 3E16-18 at the CHINACOAT 2011 international coatings exhibition in Shanghai. The conference, regarded as one of the industry's most important and influential global events, will be held November 23-25, at Shanghai's New International Expo Center.

The show will focus on solutions for the future demands of the coating industry. Lubrizol will feature products for a variety of market sectors:

  • Solsperse® hyperdispersants-efficient pigment dispersion for automotive, OEM industrial metal, and graphic arts ink applications;

  • Permax™ polyvinylidene chloride emulsions and Carboset® acrylic emulsions-corrosion resistance for OEM industrial metal coatings;

  • Turboset™ urethane dispersions-application efficiency for sports floors and other high-end commercial and residential floor finishes;

  • Carboset® acrylic emulsions-improved durability of driveways, sidewalks, decorative concrete, and similar surfaces;and

  • LubriPrint™ polyethylene wax compounds-setting and drying times of demanding media.
  • "We are very pleased to participate in this important show and present Lubrizol's advanced coatings solutions to a very demanding global audience in one of the world's fastest-growing regions," said Bernard Wong, Asia-Pacific Vice President for Lubrizol Performance Coatings. "We will demonstrate our performance solutions' qualities and advantages, explain the technology behind them and show how our solutions consistently make an significant difference in an array of industries worldwide."

    Lubrizol's featured solutions provide a range of innovations. Solsperse® hyperdispersants offer leading-edge polymeric dispersant technology that stabilizes and reduces pigment particle size, allowing for efficient pigment dispersion. They are widely used in metal coatings, inks, and paints.

    Permax™ 805 is an APE-free, low-VOC, polyvinylidene chloride acrylate copolymer emulsion with improved stability that displays extremely low moisture vapor permeability and offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability for OEM industrial metal primer and DTM applications.

    Turboset™ Ultra Pro employs next-generation technology for sports floors and other high-end commercial and residential floor finishes. It is a self-crosslinking waterborne polyurethane dispersion agent that eliminates the need for a separate crosslinker while delivering performance comparable to two-component waterborne systems.

    With its patent-pending technologies, Carboset® CA-600 is a water-based, 100% acrylic, self-crosslinking emulsion that enhances the appearance and performance of most mineral-based horizontal masonry surfaces. It provides excellent blush resistance and superior weathering protection on driveways, sidewalks, decorative concrete and similar surfaces.

    LubriPrint™ SF-285 and SF-300 polyethylene wax compounds are recent additions to Lubrizol's offerings to the graphic arts sector. LubriPrint™ 285 is a proven coating for applications requiring faster setting and drying on demanding media. LubriPrint™ SF-300is excellent in situations that require stability, low migration, rub resistance and gloss retention. SF-300 is ideal for food packaging applications.
