Labelexpo Asia 2011 to Witness Host of Product Launches & Discussions on Latest Market Developments

Shanghai is all set for Labelexpo Asia 2011 as the continent's largest event dedicated to the label, product decoration, web printing and converting industry returns to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) between 29 November and 2 December. With over 250 exhibitors and countless live machinery demonstrations, the show aims to beat 2009's record number of visitors at 16,601. Complementing the exhibition, Labelexpo Asia 2011 also features a comprehensive, educational conference program where visitors will hear from high profile speakers, key suppliers and learn from a series of illustrated customer case studies.

The keynote presentation, including an overview of the latest developments and market forecasts, will be made by Jouko Lähepelto, Senior Vice President, Americas and Asia Pacific at UPM Raflatac. Dean Scarborough, Chairman of Avery Dennison Corporation, will look at next generation materials, while Christian Menegon, Business Development Manager at Hewlett-Packard, will focus on the value of digital technology. Peter Wang, Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific at DuPont, will highlight customer case studies where long-term anti-counterfeiting solutions have been developed. Dr Zhangshui Gong, Chief Engineer at Hangzhou Toka Ink Chemical Co, will explore the use/application of security inks and Federico d'Annunzio, Managing Director, Nuova GIDUE will examine the opportunities for label printers in package printing.

As a major platform for new product launches, Labelexpo Asia 2011 will showcase the latest in machinery and materials. New launches include Omet's Flexy 330 press which boasts eight color flexo and silver cold-foil and Xeikon's new high capacity, high speed 3300 digital label press which has specifications including dry toner and heat transfer. UPM Raflatac will also be demonstrating the most recent addition to the ProLiner® product family - the PP White TC 60 RH 9 ProLiner PP30 which is designed to increase productivity and profitability in high-volume labeling.
