So far, the FCS Business Units, Klüber Lubrication, OKS and SurTec were operating in the market for bonded coatings widely independent from each other.

The combination of excellent quality products, global sales and distribution networks, top level customer services and the uncompromising engagement for the development of sustainable innovations is tailored to offer outstanding integrated competences in bonded coatings for elastomers, metals, microencapsulation, electroplating and others,” said Filip Krulis, chief executive officer, FCS.

The companies strive for a seamless transition of business in the best interest of the customers. The handover of the business will happen as of January 2024. The transition will be accompanied as best as possible and include the provision of additional information in multiple steps. The top priority is to grant a smooth business handover.

In course of the acquisition of omniTECHNIK Mikroverkapselungs, Munich, Germany, a specialist for pre-applied locking and sealing coatings and best known under precote®, SurTec takes a further step for delivering complete surface system solutions. Dedicated project teams in the respective FCS entities started to prepare integration and implementation. Technology, supply chain and other business processes will be further optimized and consolidated in the SurTec Group.

Customers will receive the same product and service quality as until today. Furthermore, customers will have the opportunity to receive complete solutions out of one source,” added Krulis. The fastener industry will particularly benefit as they have access to solutions covering the entire manufacturing process from phosphating to the coating process.
