Eastman Increases Eastapure Acetic Acid Prices on November 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Nov. 1. These increases are due to increased market demand and elevated production costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight.

Eastapure Acetic Acid: A list and off-list price increase of $US 0.05/lb ($US 0.11/kg) in North America.

Headquartered in Kingsport, Tenn., Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE:EMN) manufactures and markets chemicals, fibers and plastics worldwide. The company has approximately 12,000 employees and had 2003 sales of US$5.8 billion.
