Dow Announces Price Increases for DERAKANE Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resins

The Dow Chemical Company is increasing prices on all grades of DERAKANE* epoxy vinyl ester resins in all regions of the world. The increases are effective for shipments on and after November 15, 2004, for all customers, or as contract terms permit. All other terms or conditions of sale remain unchanged.

Prices will increase by the following:

  • US$0.15/lb in the United States
  • CDN$0.42/kg in Canada
  • 350 Euro/MT in Europe
  • US$300/MT in Asia Pacific
  • US$200/MT in Latin America

"We are dealing with dramatic increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs," says Bill Kincaid, global business director for composites at Dow. "The impact of these increases has created a much higher cost base, and we must take action to recover margin in our business."
