DaimlerChrysler in Paris puts its trust in Glasurit®

Glasurit® is the supplier of automotive refinish products for the DaimlerChrysler group's new automotive repair center in Paris. The center, which is located in Paris-Stains, is the region's largest. This is where all body repair work that arises in the twelve car dealers and branches located in the Ile-de-France region is carried out.

The center has a total area of 26,000 square meters, 6,300 square meters of which are in a covered part of the building. 2,000 square meters are dedicated to the refinishing area alone. Approx. 20 refinish technicians and assistants work in two shifts between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., a scale that more closely resembles industrial production than a body shop in the conventional sense.

Glasurit has developed special measures for providing the best possible service to this significant customer. Prior to the construction start, in a pilot phase that lasted for several months the body shop staff and the builders were provided with a wealth of information concerning organizational procedures, materials, and work processes. At the same time, the refinish technicians attended training courses in which they learned the ins and outs of the Glasurit products.

Now that the operative phase has begun, Georges Labeille is providing the staff advice and support as they organize and coordinate the job orders. As the Glasurit consultant, he was already responsible for taking care of the construction measures. Now he is working at the site permanently. Labeille ensures that the high demands posed by DaimlerChrysler are met. In addition, he is helping to increase productivity and efficiency, which will help make the customer even more successful.
