Cray Valley announces increase for CRAYVALLAC® additives

Published on 2007-10-24. Author : SpecialChem

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Cray Valley increased the price of its Crayvallac® additives by 7 to 10 percent, or as contracts allowed. This price change has been made to help offset unprecedented price upsurges for many of the raw materials used in the manufacture of Crayvallac® additives. These increases continue to escalate, and a number of raw materials continue to be in short supply.

This price change has been made to help offset unprecedented price upsurges for many of the raw materials used in the manufacture of Crayvallac® additives. These increases continue to escalate, and a number of raw materials continue to be in short supply. This has created a significant shift in the cost base, which is not expected to reverse in the near future. Other factors driving the increase are energy and transportation costs, which have been of such magnitude that the company sees no alternative but to share part of that impact in its selling price.

A leading producer of rheological additives, surface modifiers and flow and levelling agents, Cray Valley is committed to long term investment in the development, manufacture and strategic supply of these high performance additives on a world-wide basis. Cray Valley has manufactured the Crayvallac® product line for more than forty years. Today these products are stocked and sold in over 100 countries around the globe.

Along with affiliated companies CCP and Sartomer, Cray Valley shares the distinction of being the second largest producer of coatings resins in the world. CCP, which is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, with manufacturing facilities throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, markets Crayvallac® additives through its network of distributors.
