Published on 2014-06-30. Author : SpecialChem

This fall, CCAI has partnered with Georgia Power Company to present a one day Introduction to Powder Coating and Curing Processes Seminar at their new Customer Resource Center (CRC). The seminar is scheduled for October 9, 2014 at Georgia Power Company in Atlanta, GA. The Infrared Division of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association will be co-sponsoring the seminar along with CCAI.

The daylong seminar will begin with a thorough introduction to the powder coating process, including cleaning & pretreatment, materials, application equipment & booths, curing options, part movement and running an efficient system. The afternoon schedule will take attendees into the lab at the CRC to experience live demonstrations and opportunities for hands-on training. This interactive format allows attendees to get applied knowledge of the technologies they are learning in the classroom.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer this outstanding educational opportunity to our members and industry," noted CCAI Executive Director Anne Goyer. "The Resource Center is a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified, experiential facility that features many of our members’ products. We have kept the cost of this seminar extremely economical for attendees. With a mission to educate the industry, CCAI strives to hold our seminar costs very low. We plan on powder coating and curing a part that attendees can take home with them."

Registration fee includes classroom training from powder coating industry experts, the opportunity to experience hands-on demonstrations in a laboratory setting and copies of both CCAI’s new Powder Coating for Industrial Finishing Applications training manual plus a copy of Infrared Process Heating Handbook for Industrial Applications, published by the IRED division of the Industrial Heating Equipment Association. Breaks and lunch are also included in the registration fee. Fees to attend are $125 for CCAI members and $175 for non-members.

"This is an exceptional, state-of-the-art facility," Goyer continued. "We believe partnering with Georgia Power provides the perfect chance for those interested in learning more about powder coating to see the technology up close and personal."

Attendees will walk away with increased knowledge of the complete powder coating process, including the various curing options available today and two excellent training manuals. This is an exceptional value for an educational course of this caliber. There is not another course available that offers such high quality training at such a reasonable price.
