BYK has inaugurated its newest production and research facility in Gonzales, Texas.
Facility Produces High-quality Organoclays and GARAMITE Additives
The flexible manufacturing facility produces high-quality organoclays and GARAMITE additives. These products are specialty rheological additives that bring important benefits to customers around the world and in a wide range of applications.
In addition to the new production facility, several other major investments were made at the Gonzales site:
- New research & development center
- New wastewater treatment plant
- New evaporator and thermal oxidizer
- New boilers, air compressors and centrifuges
These projects were also planned and built with a view to the declared corporate goal of being CO
2-neutral by 2025.
