MOUNT OLIVE, N.J. -- BASF's Printing Systems business has appointed Anderson & Vreeland Inc., Byran, Ohio, as a distributor of BASF's nyloflex photopolymer printing plates in the United States and Canada, effective immediately.

"Anderson & Vreeland's strong sales and service organization, and extensive knowledge of flexographic printing, will help BASF's Printing Systems business to serve customers better, and to grow the nyloflex plate business," said Joe Bauer, Business Director for BASF's Performance Chemicals group in North America.

Anderson & Vreeland will sell and provide technical support using a nationwide staff of technical sales representatives who are highly knowledgeable about flexographic printing. The company's substantial flexographic printing experience sets it apart from other prepress suppliers. With the addition of BASF's Printing Systems' products, Anderson & Vreeland will have the broadest and most advanced flexographic plates and sleeves portfolio to offer customers who now have, or are transitioning to, a digital flexography workflow.

With over 40 years of experience, Anderson & Vreeland is a leading supplier of flexographic plate making equipment and materials to the graphic arts industry. Their experience will be an important success factor for helping customers to achieve smoother and easier integration of BASF's technical advancements affecting flexographic prepress, including digital workflow.

BASF nyloflex plates provide excellent print quality in solids, line or halftone for all flexographic print applications and are available in a wide range of thicknesses. They meet all flexo industry requirements and provide the highest level of print quality. BASF's nyloflex® laser ablative and engravable digital plates and sleeves are designed for direct transfer of data from computer to the plate. This revolutionary technology eliminates the need for film, photographic chemicals and mounting devices, saving time and money, and providing a smaller ecological footprint.
