Published on 2004-12-17. Author : SpecialChem

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. -- Air Products Polymers, L.P. announced that, effective January 15, 2005, it will implement in the United States and Canada a five cent ($0.05) per wet pound price increase for acrylic-based polymers marketed by the company under the Flexcryl® trademark. This adjustment is needed to cover the continued increases in raw material and energy costs associated with the manufacture and distribution of our acrylic products.

Air Products Polymers, L.P. is a joint venture between Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (Allentown, Pa., NYSE:APD) and Wacker-Chemie GmbH (Munich, Germany) that manufactures and distributes latex polymers.

This release may contain forward-looking statements. Actual results could vary materially, due to changes in current expectations.

The "wet" pound designation is essential to understanding emulsions pricing and is a vital part of this announcement
