Coatings ingredients supplied by BASF

The Lupranol® polyol portfolio offers a diverse range of polyether polyols include:
  • CASE Polyols – Low molecular weight polyols are produced by KOH catalysis and high molecular weight polyols are catalyzed as DMC-catalyzed products. Molar weights range from 450 to 4000 g/mol.
  • Reactive polyols – Produced by KOH catalysis and contain a BHT-free antioxidant package enabling their use in applications where low emissions are important. Mainly used for molded applications like flexible foams, flexible integral foams, RIM and shoe soles, as well as for CASE applications.
  • Slabstock polyols – Non-reactive polyether polyols are suitable for the continuous production of flexible polyurethane foam by slabstock process. All non-reactive polyether polyols are free of BHT.
  • Amine-based polyether polyols – These polyols are autocatalytic and require less free catalyst while achieving the same reactivity, and thus enabling the application where low emissions or fast curing are important.
  • GRAFT Polyols – A series of polymer polyols for the production of high load bearing (HLB) and high resilience (HR) foams. All polymer polyols contain dispersed styrene/ acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymers. The dispersions contain a BHT-free antioxidant package with low styrene emissions.
  • Rigid Polyols and Polyol Mixtures – Characteristic of rigid polyols is higher functionalities at lower molecular weights. Rigid polyols are used in foamed and solid applications or in combination with polyols with a higher molecular weight to increase the hardness of the final product.
