Coatings ingredients supplied by Pilot chemicals

Calimulse® sulfonates and sulfonic acids are anionic surfactants suitable for paints and coatings formulations. They offer great consistency and predictable performance in a variety of emulsion polymerization applications. These products are free from VOC, APEO and halogenated solvents.

These additives are produced using proprietary sulfonation processes ensuring consistency, uniformity and high purity. Calimulse® sulfonic acids offer higher activity levels compared to sulfonates. Many bases can neutralize these acids to produce a surfactant for emulsion polymerization which presents unique and desirable characteristics.
