PowerSorb™ 384-2 by TinToll (PCC Group) acts as a UV absorber. It is a 3-(2h-benzotriazolyl)-5-(1, 1-di-methylethyl)-4-hydroxy-benzenepropanoic acid octyl esters. It can be used in combination with a HALS stabilizer to enhance its performance. It improves the durability of clear coats by inhibiting gloss reduction, cracking, color change, blistering and delamination. It is soluble in butylcarbitol, ethyl glycol acetate, butyl glycol acetate and 1-methoxypropylacetate-2. PowerSorb™ 384-2 is designed for automotive-, general industrial-, coil- and wood coating applications.
