PAT-ADD RHEOL 253

PAT-ADD RHEOL 253 by PATCHAM FZC is an organic polymer compound in hydrocarbon solvent. It is a liquid rheology modifier for use in UP systems, gelcoats. It contributes to the formation of a thixotropical structure and reduces risk of separation. It is suitable for avoiding separation and formation of sediments in ambient temperature curing systems. It may be used alone or in combination with inorganic modifiers such as fumed silica or ororganoclays. Its benefits include easy workability, incorporation just by mixing and does not require chemical activation. It maintains clear appearance, requires only low dosages and is suitable for main processing processes. It is applicable in polyester systems, epoxies and vinyl ester systems. The optimal amount of PAT-ADD RHEOL 253 to be used is system related, but generally is between 0.1 and 0.5%, calculated on the total weight of formulation. It is a REACH compliant.
