PAT-ADD DA 801

PAT-ADD DA 801 by PATCHAM FZC is a polymeric dispersing agent for use in apolar and polar solvent-borne and solvent-less paints, inks and colorants. PAT-ADD DA 801 is multifunctional and applicable to most pigments, it is particularly effective as dispersant for carbon black. PAT-ADD DA 801 is strongly adsorbed onto inorganic pigments and extenders, contributing to enhanced steric stabilization against re-flocculation. It optimises the milling process, enabling high pigment loading and provides excellent color development. It shows strong prevention of pigment flocculation, floating, flooding, and pigment settling. Used for industrial, architectural paints and for printing inks. The optimal amount of PAT-ADD DA 801 to be used is system related, but generally is between 0.4 and 1.5% calculated on the total weight of paint formulation. For use as dispersing agent in inks, a dosage between 0.7 and 3% on total weight of the ink, is typically required. For use in pigment concentrates and colorants higher levels are suggested, such as 3 to 10% PAT-ADD DA 801 on total weight of the pigment dispersion formula. It is a REACH compliant.
