RHEOLATE® 430

NPE-free hydrophobically modified alkali swellable thickener. Used for waterborne systems. Provides high thickening efficiency in medium shear rate range and very good balance between sag resistance and levelling properties. Gives high shear rate viscosity and great brush drag. Offers pseudoplastic/thixotropic rheology, package viscosity, anti-settling properties, very good spray properties, good block resistance and compatibility with clay-based, cellulosic and associative thickeners. Reduces syneresis, spattering during roller application and early blistering in acrylic systems. Improves roller application hiding power and freeze/thaw stability. Applications: gloss, semi-gloss and matt emulsion paints, industrial coatings, vinyl chloride emulsions, water-reducible/polyester, epoxy, acrylics, urethanes and others, and inks. Use level: 0.1-2.0 % by weight.
