Deuteron® MM 669

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Deuteron
Compound based on organic polymers and highly dispersed silica. Acts as a matting agent for radiation curing systems. Reduces the gloss and at a higher dosage the viscosity will only be slightly increased. Good flow and processibility remain and allow for all usual application processes. When using DEUTERON MM 669 in UV-curing binders no cloudiness has been noticed. Shows very good resistance regarding burnishing and mar resistance. Imparts coatings a soft touch and good wetting properties. The additional use of waxes, PTFE or similar products is not necessary in general. Experiences have shown that the required matting effect can be achieved particularly in presence of UV-curing acrylic resins as binders and the use of reactive-dissolvent. When using UV-curing epoxy resins as binder, it has to be checked whether DEUTERON MM 669 is suitable as a matting agent. Dosage: The dosage depends on the character of the binder and the required degree of gloss. Initial laboratory trials should start with an addition of 5 -10 %.
