Deuteron® VT 819

Anionic heteropolysaccharide (xanthan gum). Acts as a thickening agent and stabilizer. Shows high pseudo-plasticity, i.e. the viscosity lowers, if the shearing stress increases. Prevents the settling of pigments/extenders and the separation of the liquid phases during the storage in aqueous systems such as emulsion paints as well as plasters. Is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry. Used in aqueous primers, emulsion paints, dispersion plasters, printing inks, silicate paints, aqueous preparations of pigments and fillers. Dosage: Depending upon requirements 0,1 - 0.5 % calculated on the water proportion in the product.
