CYCAT® 4040 catalyst

CYCAT® 4040 catalyst by allnex is a fast cure para-toluene sulfonic acid-based catalyst. It is designed to initiate and accelerate the reaction of amino crosslinking agents, such as those based on melamine and urea formaldehyde. CYCAT® 4040 catalyst is used in printing inks, solvent- & water-borne conversion varnishes for wood, general industrial, paper and exterior can coatings. It is suitable for 2K ambient cure or low bake systems. It offers excellent formulated package stability and reduces energy requirements. Recommended dosage level is 0.5 % catalyst solution. The shelf life of the grade is 720 days.
