Surfynol® DF-178 Defoamer

Surfynol® DF-178 Defoamer by Evonik is a liquid, 100% active, silicone-based product developed specifically for applications in water-borne coatings and graphic arts that demand both powerful defoaming and defect-free surfaces. Provides strong defoaming and microfoam control as well as is particularly effective in spray applications. It is HAPs-free and alkylphenol ethoxylate free and has excellent compatibility in many resin systems. Surfynol® DF-178 Defoamer shows strong performance in two-component polyurethane, water-based alkyd, acrylic and styrene-acrylic systems has also been observed, and the product can provide excellent defoaming in pigment, flexographic news inks and flexible packaging inks. Recommended usage level is 0.1-0.75 wt% on finished systems. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
