Alcotex 72.5 by Synthomer Medium hydrolysis polyvinyl alcohol for PVC polymerisation. Supplied as fine granules, readily soluble in cold-water. Solutions can tolerate addition of low molecular weight alcohols. It is used for water-sensitive coatings.

It can be plasticised by water, glycerol, trimethylol propane or polyethylene glycol.
It enables more efficient control over the degree of hydrolysis and particle size of the product.
Alcotex 72.5 has shelf life of 24 months.
