CHS-Alkyd TRI 841

Air-drying solventless alkyd resin-polyester of pentaerythritol and isophtalic acid modified by mixture of tall and dehydrated castor oil fatty acids. Possesses low yellowing, and good durability. Used as a binder for high solids coatings applications like for wood stain and impregnation fast drying coatings applied on wood and similar surfaces. Designed for preparing of anti-corrosive paints, elastic enamels, for protection of metal and wood surfaces, binders for printings inks, and for the preparation of pigment pastes. Can be also used as a reactive diluent for solventborne alkyd resins in order to decrease viscosity and VOC in final coating formulation. Exhibits solubility in white spirit, xylene, toluene, ketones, ethers and glycol esters, non-solubility in water, miscibility with drying oils and long oil length alkyd resins and compatibility with rosin based resins. Its shelf life is 12 months.
