Carboset® CR-3100

Carboset® CR-3100 by Lubrizol is a water-borne styrene-acrylic emulsion designed for low VOC direct-to-metal coatings, primers and metal topcoats. This APEO and formaldehyde-free grade offers an outstanding adhesion to a variety of metal surfaces along with chemical and corrosion resistance. It can be formulated to a range of glosses for great aesthetics in a finish that lasts. Carboset® CR-3100 is efficient in a variety of environments and passes ASTM D2794 impact resistance testing at 160 lbs and ASTM D522 mandrel bend testing with no cracking or loss of adhesion. It finds application in light and medium-duty industrial applications with only a single coat. Carboset® CR-3100 is designed for formulations of 100 g/l VOC and lower. Repainting can be avoided owing to its durability and it offers superior substrate protection.
