Rosin Modified Phenolic Resin 221 by Foshan Baolin Chemical Industry is a natural phenolic resin with high softening point and fast drying. It is made with vacuum treatment, compounded with polycondensate of rosin, phenol & formaldehyde, esterified with glycerol or pentaerythritol. It can be polymerized with plant oil to make phenolic paint. It provides hardness and improves gloss and fullness. It is soluble in coal char, ester and terebene solvents but insoluble in alcohol. It is used as a binder to improve the texture of printing ink. Rosin Modified Phenolic Resin 221 is used in inks and paints.
