Aqualon™ EC-N10

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by DKSH
Aqualon™ EC-N10 distributed by DKSH is a cellulose ether made by the reaction of ethyl chloride with alkali cellulose. It is a pigment dispersant and thixotrope for solvent-borne inks. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents, and flexible over a wide range of temperatures. It shows resistance to alkalies, both dilute and concentrated, and to salt solutions.
  • It is compatible with an unusually wide range of resins and plasticizers, including oils and waxes.
  • It provides excellent electrical properties combined with good thermal stability, outstanding flexibility and toughness.
  • It possesses high dielectric constant and scuff resistance.
  • It offers viscosity control and is suitable for magnetic inks.
  • The low density of ethylcellulose makes it possible to get greater coverage and greater volume per unit weight than with other cellulose derivatives.
  • Aqualon™ EC-N10 is used in lacquers & coatings and is available only in Indonesia.
