Aqualon™ EC-N10

Aqualon™ EC-N10 distributed by DKSH is a cellulose ether made by the reaction of ethyl chloride with alkali cellulose. It is a pigment dispersant and thixotrope for solvent-borne inks. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents, and flexible over a wide range of temperatures. It shows resistance to alkalies, both dilute and concentrated, and to salt solutions.

It is compatible with an unusually wide range of resins and plasticizers, including oils and waxes.
It provides excellent electrical properties combined with good thermal stability, outstanding flexibility and toughness.
It possesses high dielectric constant and scuff resistance.
It offers viscosity control and is suitable for magnetic inks.
The low density of ethylcellulose makes it possible to get greater coverage and greater volume per unit weight than with other cellulose derivatives.
Aqualon™ EC-N10 is used in lacquers & coatings and is available only in Indonesia.
