SMA® 2021H by Cray Valley (Total Group) is the medium molecular weight styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer solution, with an approximate 2:1 mole ratio, which has been neutralized with ammonium hydroxide. It exhibits high heat- and water resistance. It is available as a 15-20% solids solution. It balances higher styrene content with solubility in an aqueous base. It is suitable for overprint varnishes and graphic/art coatings.
