Laropal® A 81

Laropal® A 81 by BASF is a condensed product from urea and aliphatic aldehydes. Used in combination with binders in many types of coating formulations and for manufacturing of solvent-based pigment pastes.

It is an aldehyde resin for pigment dispersions and because of its excellent solubility and compatibility it can be used in many types of coating formulations.
It improves gloss, hardness, body, adhesion and resistance to yellowing.
Provides good pigment wetting and good heat resistance.
Offers compatibility with alkyd resins, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetobutyrate, vinyl chloride copolymers, chlorinated rubber and hydroxypolyacrylates.
It is also compatible with melamine-formaldehyde resins, aromatic & aliphatic epoxy resins, hydrocarbon resins and phthalate plasticizers.
Exhibits promotes the natural grain & color of wood, good elasticity and excellent toughness.
Laropal® A 81 is used in automotive OEM, general metal and industrial coatings.
