Glascol® LS20

Aqueous microemulsion based on carboxylated acrylic copolymers. Used in water-based inks for paper/corrugated paper and plastic substrates such as polyolefines (polyethylene, polypropylene) and PVC, and in overprint varnishes on paper and plastic substrates. Can be used as a sole binder, as a modifier resin to adjust film-forming properties of inks based on high MFFT resins, and as a let-down vegicle in combination with highly hydrophilic resins as the pigment grinding vehicle to offer optimum colour development. Forms coherent films at room temperature. Provides very good clarity, good blocking resistance, very good resistance to organic and water-based materials, good pigment wetting properties, hydrophilic nature of polymer, very good viscosity/pH stability and near linear viscosity/dilution curve. Offers some resilient properties such as improved stability against high shear stress.
