PHENODUR® PR 371/70B

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by allnex
PHENODUR® PR 371/70B by allnex is a straight phenol-based curable resin. It exhibits very high chemical resistance and limited flexibility. Suitable for protective coatings and can coatings including BADGE- & BPA-NI formulas and interior drum linings. It is also available in low-free formaldehyde version.
  • It is a higher reactive version of PHENODUR® PH 2013/65B and can be used as an alternative to PHENODUR® EP 560 as it contains a lower concentration of residual-free phenol.
  • It is designed for heat-curable phenolic/epoxy & phenolic/polyester resin combinations for interior & exterior coatings of metal packaging containers.
  • In combination with high molecular weight epoxy resins or polyester resins, e.g., DUROFTAL VPE 6104/60MPAC, it provides good adhesion for cans and tubes.
  • When an acid catalyst is added, e.g., CYCAT® XK 406 N, PHENODUR® PR 371/70B increases the reactivity of the lacquers and the total film hardness.
  • It can act as a sole binder for stoving coatings.
  • It has a shelf life of 730 days.
