EWO

EWO by Sachtleben Minerals is a fine and easily dispersible barium sulfate extender. Obtained from high-quality barytes concentrates in a special preparation and refining process. It is free of calcium carbonate and resistant to acids and alkalis. Possesses low binder demand and low abrasiveness. Offers extremely high lightness, constant low yellow hue, light-fastness and weathering resistance. Provides extremely low electrical conductivity owing to special preparation process, and extremely good wettability owing to low specific surface area. Used for high quality primers, anti corrosion coatings, also in mastic compounds, latex paints, pigment preparations, floor coatings and in standard powder-coating systems. EWO enhances hiding power and permits partial replacement of pigments, significantly improving paint production costs.
