It acts as slip control, mar resistance, wetting, flow and leveling agent. It is a silicone based surfactant designed to impart resistance to both solvent-based and water-based coatings. It lowers the surface tension of the formulation and helps to prevent craters and orange peel. Applications include coatings. Used at a level ranging from 0.1% - 0.3% based on the total formulation weight.
