Polyurethane in water. Acts as an associative thickener/solvent-free rheology modifier (independent of pH). It builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. Provides good flow, leveling and gloss and good spatter resistance. Shows very good color acceptance on tinting. It is non-ionic, APE-, VOC- and organotin free. It is easy to handle due to low viscosity and can be used alone or in combination with other thickeners. The performance of thickener is affected by the interactions with binder type, co-solvents, coalescing agents, surfactants/wetting agents, pigments and flattening agents. Recommended for use in aqueous systems for interior and exterior paints, latex paints, emulsion plasters and anti-corrosive paints.
