Lanco™ A 1601

Lanco™ A 1601 by Lubrizol is a micronized, amorphous amide wax with a homogeneous particle size distribution. Offers very good sandability and good gloss control. Improves surface slip and provides matting. Exhibits a soft and silky surface feel, good thermal stability, low melt viscosity and stability in the cold check test. Also improves the processing of polypropylene and PVC resins and improves thixotropic properties of asphalt, bitumen, paraffin and hydrocarbon resins. Compatible with alkyds, nitrocellulose, 2K polyurethanes, acrylics and epoxy/ polyester powder systems. Lanco™ A 1601 is used in wood coatings, varnishes, powder coatings, can coatings and primers. Recommednded dosage level is 0.25-2% to improve surface finish and 1-5% to improve matting. It has a shelf life of 730 days.
