SpeedCure BP

SpeedCure BP by Lambson (Sartomer) is a benzophenone. Acts as an inexpensive type II photoinitiator. Has non-yellowing characteristics and helps reduce oxygen inhibition. When used in conjunction with tertiary amine synergists, it initiates the rapid photo-polymerization of suitable resin formulations. Commonly used to achieve a fast surface cure. SpeedCure BP is recommended for clear over print varnishes, wood varnishes, printing inks and decorative coatings for metal cans and food cartons. Suggested levels of use are 0.5 – 1.5% w/w Speedcure BP together with 2 – 5% w/w amine synergist (quantities vary depending on individual formulations and applications).
