ISCATHIX® T

ISCATHIX® T by ISCA is a modified hydrogenated castor oil wax-based, 100% active rheological additive. It imparts thixotropic properties for a wide range of coating systems. This additive is used for air-drying industrial coatings, architectural alkyd paints, solvent-free systems, chlorinated rubbers, 2K epoxy primers & top-coats, road marking paints, thermoplastic acrylics and isocyanate-free 2K acrylics. Also used for wood stains/ wood varnishes, sealers, undercoats, primers, heavy duty/ marine coatings, general & air-drying industrial paints, 2K polyurethane systems, nitrocellulose lacquers, hammer finishes, aerosol paints and PVC Plastisols / Organosols. ISCATHIX® T provides very good sag resistance, minimal gloss reduction, improved brush ability and ease of incorporation. It possesses greater tolerance to strong solvents and higher process temperatures. It should be incorporated during the pigment dispersion stage of coating manufacturing. The recommended level of addition is 0.2-1.5% (calculated on total formulation).
