Melamine modified ammonium polyphosphate. Acts as a flame retardant. It is produced by a special process which gives very uniform fine particle size and phase II crystalline form with high degree of polymerization (n>1000). It is almost insoluble in water and completely insoluble in organic solvents. It is compatible with unsaturated polyesters, epoxies, acrylics and polyurethane. Used in intumescent coatings.
