Pyromellitic dianhydride. Acts as a thermal curative for epoxy resins. It has low mix viscosity which helps in an easier incorporation of additives. Enhance mechanical, thermal and dielectric behavior. Has a variable pot life for optimal processing and an optimum purity and particle size to meet specific requirements. It is a micronized, light-tan and free-flowing powder. Can be used in admixtures with other anhydrides. Recommended applications include powder coatings for aerospace ducting and fuselage insulation, appliances, telematics and the newest generation of electric vehicles. Can be used for pipeline protection and concrete rebar and coatings for oil-and-gas exploration. Listed in TSCA.
