2-Hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone. Acts as a type-I photo initiator. It is soluble in most monomers, oligomers and pre-polymers but insoluble in water. Exhibits very fast curing. Used in flexographic-, screen-, lithographic- and dry offset printing inks. Also used in coatings for graphic arts, wood, plastics & metal applications. Usage level ranges from 0.5 - 5%.
