Silcolease® UV CATA 243 by Elkem Silicones is a UV cationic silicone. It is a low odor, non-flammable and easy to use liquid photoinitiator. It has low migration potential and zero VOC solvent. Offers high efficiency PI in low toxicity, very high catalysed bath stability and excellent compatibility with all UV epoxy polymers. It is made by patented iodonium borate photoinitiator technology. It may also be used with epoxy resins, vinyl ethers or any other type of oligomer which reacts via a cationic polymerization mechanism. It is also suited to the formulation of hybrid radical / cationic systems.
